Immediately Job Description Fort Scott USD 234 is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Extra-Curricular Student Support Paraprofessional(s) to provide supervision and individualized support for students with disabilities during extracurricular activities, school-sponsored events, athletic competitions, field trips, and other activities outside the regular school day. Assignments may vary based on student needs and may occur at any district building or event location. Primary Responsibilities Provide direct paraprofessional support to assigned students during extracurricular activities and events. Assist students with participation, supervision, communication, behavioral support, and personal care as needed. Promote student safety, inclusion, and successful participation in extracurricular programs. Work collaboratively with coaches, sponsors, activity supervisors, special education staff, and administrators. Maintain confidentiality and follow all district policies and student support plans. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of student participation. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work evenings, weekends, or other non-school hours as needed. Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred but not required. Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Compensation Compensation will be based on the USD 234 Paraprofessional Salary Schedule. Hours will vary based on student needs and extracurricular schedules. Positions may be assigned to support students at various district buildings and activities throughout the school year.
