Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Support students' growth and daily learning within a diverse K-12 educational setting in the Lenexa area, where multiple contract paraprofessional positions are available across a range of classroom environments. Facilities include life skills programs, autism support (STEPs), and behavioral support classrooms, offering an opportunity to make a positive impact in the school community.
Key Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of relevant paraprofessional or classroom support experience required Familiarity with K-12 school settings preferred Ability to adapt communication and support strategies to meet individual student needs Dependable, proactive, and compassionate approach to student support Team-oriented mindset, comfortable working alongside teachers and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct support to students in classroom, small group, and one-on-one settings as directed by certified teachers or special education staff Assist with educational, behavioral, and functional goals in life skills, autism support, or behavior-focused classroom environments Help implement modifications, accommodations, and individualized learning plans Encourage student participation and foster social and academic development Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities following school protocols
