Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
The Assistant Teacher will provide support for the Teacher and will give the children direction and guidance. Full time hours Monday through Friday. A high school diploma or GED will be a perffered minimum of education. Experience working with young children is also preferred. A pre-employment physical and TB skin test are required. Must have KBI background chieck that is cleared throug the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Pediatric First Aid and CPR plus 18 hours of online training will be required within the first 30 days of hire. Duties include assisting 4-5 year old children with various activities and providing direction and guidance in a learning based environment preparing them for Kindergarten. Assist in supervision of the children, classroom, and all activities. Help maintain a welcoming, clean learning environment.
