Per Diem Instructional Aide - Overland Park, KS Go Spindle - 2.0 Overland Park, KS Job Details Per diem 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Located in Overland Park, KS, this per diem opportunity offers flexible roles supporting students 1:1 in a school-based environment. Ideal for compassionate individuals, these positions enable meaningful impact by assisting students academically, behaviorally, and socially within structured classroom settings.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide individualized or small-group support as directed by teachers and school staff Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) where applicable Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Minimum 18 years of age TB test per district requirements Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to start
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges CPI, PMT, or RBT certifications considered a plus Reliable, patient, and team-oriented mindset
