Job Description
The task of an SAS Instructional Assistant is to provide quality care and educational support in a safe, nurturing environment for school-age children while following Learning Grove standards and state guidelines. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Some post-secondary education and childcare experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Key Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times. Support learning through structured activities, creativity, and positive interactions. Implement lesson plans aligned with state learning standards. Maintain organized classrooms and complete assigned tasks and documentation. Use positive guidance techniques to support children's development. Follow licensing, SUTQ/STARS, and Learning Grove requirements. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive relationships with families and staff. Participate in required training and professional development. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, move frequently, and remain active throughout the day. Why Learning Grove?
