A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
Starting wages: $12.14 - $13.79 hourly. Under the direction of the Lead Teacher, will implement instructional experiences for preschool age children. Will help ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. Working 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, 187 days per year. A high school diploma or GED is required. Child Development Associate credential must be obtained within 18 months of employment or have an associate degree in early childhood education.
