Company Overview Middletown United Methodist Child Development Center is a dedicated Christian child care facility committed to nurturing young minds and fostering a supportive learning environment. We focus on providing quality early childhood education and care to children in our community. Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Teacher Assistant to join our team! In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in creating engaging, safe, and nurturing classroom environments for children across various age groups. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for each child's growth and development. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards. Support children with their activities, ensuring they are engaged, safe, and supported during play, learning, and rest times. Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques. Provide attentive care to children's needs, including diapering, feeding, and comforting when necessary. Support classroom organization by preparing materials, cleaning up after activities, and maintaining a tidy learning environment. Observe and document children's progress to inform assessments and communicate with parents as needed. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including first aid procedures when necessary. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs. Certification or training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Experience with classroom management, behavior management strategies, and caregiving techniques. Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through nurturing care and educational activities. Flexibility to adapt to different age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs. Join us in making a meaningful difference in young lives!
