Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Preschool Instructional Assistant at Caldwell County Preschool . The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role is essential in fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschoolers while ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development for preschool-aged children. Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources for lessons and activities. Support children in their social interactions, encouraging positive behavior and conflict resolution. Assist with daily routines, including meal times, small group activities, diaper changes, and transitions between activities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and staff. Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team. Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes. CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Background check and clearance to work with children required.
