Job Summary Caldwell County Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time paraprofessional. This position plays a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students in a dynamic and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to facilitate a positive learning experience for all students, ensuring that each child receives the guidance and assistance they need to thrive academically and socially. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and instructional activities. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, fostering their academic growth and social skills. Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed. Help create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing necessary accommodations. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom resources. Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times to ensure safety and positive interactions. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to assess student needs and develop appropriate strategies for support. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior as required by school policies. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to education and child development. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in education, child development, or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young learners succeed. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from teachers and school administrators. Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational technology and software. Understanding of child development principles and the ability to implement appropriate strategies to support diverse learners. Must pass background checks and adhere to all school policies and regulations.
