In this energetic role, you will support camp activities, assist with supervision, and help foster a positive atmosphere where children can learn, grow, and enjoy their summer experience. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young minds while ensuring their safety and well-being throughout each day. Duties Support lead instructors and camp counselors in organizing and executing daily activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children Provide attentive childcare by monitoring children's behavior, addressing conflicts with positive behavior management techniques, and ensuring their safety at all times Help implement special education strategies when working with children who have diverse learning needs or disabilities Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow proper procedures for health emergencies or injuries Engage children in age-appropriate tutoring or educational activities to promote childhood development and early childhood education principles Support Christian counseling or spiritual activities if applicable, fostering a nurturing environment aligned with camp values Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, summer camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is strongly recommended; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified Familiarity with special education practices or working with children with diverse needs is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, children, and parents Passion for working with kids and promoting their growth through engaging activities Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join us as a Summer Camp Assistant to make a meaningful impact on children's lives this summer!
