Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Childcare Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. As the leader of the classroom, you will develop engaging curricula, foster a positive learning atmosphere, and support the holistic development of children from toddler age through preschool. Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead classroom activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development tailored to diverse learning needs. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and supportive environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support home-based learning initiatives. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and student teachers to ensure high-quality instruction and adherence to curriculum standards. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools and early intervention techniques to monitor developmental milestones. Maintain detailed records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with licensing requirements. Incorporate specialized educational approaches such as Montessori or other child-centered methods to enhance learning experiences. Ensure health and safety protocols are followed diligently, including proper hygiene practices during daycare activities. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education needs, and innovative teaching strategies. Experience Proven classroom management experience within early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs. Familiarity with classroom experience involving toddlers through preschool-aged children. Prior experience in private schools or daycare environments preferred but not required. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of childhood development theories, standardized testing procedures, and behavior management techniques. Background in early childhood education certifications or degrees such as CDA (Child Development Associate), Montessori training or equivalent credentials is highly desirable.
