In this paid position, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for infants and toddlers. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant and toddler development, including sensory play, motor skills, and social interaction. Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times, adhering to best practices in child supervision and classroom management. Support infants with feeding, diapering, nap times, and other daily routines in a caring and respectful manner. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while following health and safety protocols such as pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns to foster strong relationships and trust. Assist with classroom setup, material preparation, and maintaining documentation related to child development instruction. Follow all licensing requirements related to early childhood education, childcare standards, and emergency procedures to ensure compliance at all times. Experience Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare centers, preschools, or similar childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care is essential. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and early childhood education methodologies. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Previous nannying or babysitting experience with infants can be valuable assets for this role.
