Assistant Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or early childhood education frameworks Support children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism, by adapting activities and providing individualized attention Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among children Use communication skills such as American Sign Language when appropriate to facilitate understanding and inclusion for children with communication challenges Assist in maintaining classroom organization, including preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and ensuring cleanliness Collaborate with team members to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for children requiring specialized support Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool, childcare, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and curriculum development techniques Familiarity with special education practices, including IEP implementation and behavior management strategies Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining a positive learning environment Certification or coursework in Deaf education or American Sign Language is a plus Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments for all children Join us as an Assistant Teacher and become part of a dedicated team committed to nurturing young minds!
