Assistant Infant Teacher

Position Summary:

The Assistant Infant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants (typically ages 6 weeks to 15 months). This role involves helping implement daily routines, fostering early developmental skills, and ensuring each child receives attentive, individualized care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily care of infants, including feeding, diapering, dressing, and soothing Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with licensing regulations Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff members Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including safe sleep practices Help prepare classroom materials and maintain supplies

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Prior experience working with infants or in a childcare setting is a plus CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in physical activity throughout the day Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor This position could be part or full time. We can be flexible for the right fit! Looking to add a new team member for June!

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
