1:1 Paraeducator Support Staff for After School at
BES Reports To:
After School Coordinator Work Year Days:
Monday-Friday (varies)
Work Hours:
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (varies)
Educational/Training/Experience/License Required:
Experience working with students with intensive special needs.
Accountability Objective:
Supervise students in the After School Program at Boylston Elementary School as 1:1 support
Responsibilities:
The After-School Program provides supervision and support for students in grades K5 during the after-school program. Para will ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment while overseeing student activities such as homework, play, and enrichment. Supervise and monitor students to ensure safety and appropriate behavior. Engage with students in structured and unstructured activities. Support students with homework, games, and recreational activities. Assist with program routines such as snack, clean-up, and transition to new activities. Communicate effectively with students and staff. Enforce program rules and school expectations in a positive manner.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children preferred. Ability to manage groups of students in a positive and supportive way. Dependable, responsible, and flexible. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting. Ability to foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students. Reliability and flexibility to support the needs of the program.
Terms of Employment:
August 2026- June 2027
Salary:
$30.00 Per hour
