Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Assistant in supportive contract assignments for the academic year. Two positions are available near
Franklin, MA:
one working 1:1 with a fourth grader, another assisting two to three fifth-grade students. These roles are perfect for compassionate and motivated individuals passionate about supporting children's academic achievement, positive behaviors, and social-emotional growth.
Key Qualifications:
Paraprofessional experience or relevant school setting background Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, specialists, and parents Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing spirit Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to supporting student success Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:20 am through dismissal (typically over by 3:40 pm)
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students with academic tasks, following lesson plans and modifications as assigned Implement behavioral strategies and reinforcement techniques under teacher guidance Assist students in developing social-emotional skills and problem-solving abilities Monitor and document progress or challenges throughout the school day Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and school staff to support student goals
