Job Description

Special Education Instructional Assistant 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars
DUTIES:
  • Assist teachers in teaching special education students in all aspects of the student day
  • Work cooperatively in an interdisciplinary setting with staff and students
  • Work in special education classes and/or general education with special education students
  • Assist teachers in the implementation of student behavior programs; when needed use CPI for deescalation and for restraints in coordination with other staff members in accordance with district policieswhen school is held in-person
  • Assist with preparation of classroom environment and materials for special education classes and students
  • Manage and work with small groups of students
  • Other duties as assigned
SALARY:
As per Unit C contract starting at $17.95/hour
