Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision of children during classroom breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support lead teachers with classroom management, child engagement, and instructional activities focused on early childhood development Assist with child supervision during playtime, meal times, nap times, and transitions throughout the day Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and progress Follow all mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Childcare experience such as babysitting or nannying that showcases responsibility and nurturing skills Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within the classroom setting This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about early childhood education who want to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable experience.
