Job Description

Preschool Paraprofessional in Integrated Classroom

Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-2:30pm

Supervises student(s) at all times, as indicated on the IEP, to ensure the safety of the student(s), peers, and adults

Provides discrete trial instruction to identified students and maintains accurate skill acquisition data

Monitor student behavior as indicated on the student's Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and collect data for progress monitoring

Direct teaching daily living skills, including eating, drinking, dressing, bathroom, and hygiene skills

Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis teaching principles throughout the school day when working with students

Experience with instructional support: provide program instruction, as deemed necessary, and provide accurate skill acquisition facilitation under the guidance of the classroom teacher

Utilize therapeutic and self-regulatory principles to support the needs of all students

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Experience and Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma/GED; Associate Degree or higher preferred

Experience working with students with social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs

Excellent oral, written, and communication skills

Citizenship, residency, or work visa required

$26 to $29 Per Hour
