Lower School Support Teacher and After School Program Staff (temp coverage) Milton Academy - 3.9 Milton, MA Job Details Full-time $20 - $24 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications General academic student support School experience Student supervision Classroom management assistance Faculty collaboration Academic institution experience Working with children Working with students Elementary school teaching Working with elementary school students Communication skills Classroom community building Entry level Full Job Description The Lower School at Milton Academy seeks a full-time, benefits-eligible Support Teacher to assist in K5 classrooms during the academic day and to supervise students in the After School Program (ASP) from 3:00 to 4:00 PM daily. This is a temporary position that begins in August 2026 and concludes in mid-February 2027. This role focuses on supporting instruction, supervising students, and contributing to a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment. The Support Teacher will also serve as a substitute across all Lower School classrooms as needed.

In addition to classroom responsibilities, the Support Teacher will play an active role in the Lower Schools After School Program by providing supervision and support for students attending ASP each afternoon. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the ASP team to help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for students at the end of the school day.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a school or childcare setting, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a collaborative, flexible approach to working with students and colleagues.
