Children Ministry Assistant The Union Church in Waban Waban, MA Job Details Part-time $30 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Experience working with children Full Job Description Overview The Union Church in Waban is looking for a Children's Ministry Assistant to help with our Sunday morning children's programming. We are a small and vibrant suburban interdenominational church affiliated with the United Church of Christ and American Baptist Churches. We are inclusive, intergenerational, outreach- and mission-minded. The Union Church in Waban is easily accessible on public transportation. Responsibilities Support the Sunday School Teacher in implementing lessons and activities Engage with children in the program in a loving and supportive manner Set up and clean up various activities Be comfortable teaching the Christian faith in a loving, progressive, and inclusive manner Occasionally, when available, stay after service to provide child care for church events. Understand and adhere to our Safe Church policy Time Commitment and Compensation The commitment is weekly on Sundays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am (2 hours/week). The position runs September 14th - June 20th. Compensation is $30/hour.
