Job Description

Teacher Assistant 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Full-Time, 40 hours per week Monday-Friday Year-Round Program Support. Empower. Transform. As a Teacher Assistant at our May Center School in Randolph, Norwood, or Mansfield you'll be an essential part of our mission to support students ages 3-21 with Autism, Developmental and Cognitive Disabilities, Brain Injury, or Neurobehavioral Disorders in achieving their goals and aspirations. While working with students and using the proven methods of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), you'll be providing compassionate care, facilitating personalized assistance, and engaging in skill-building activities. You'll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow, thrive, and achieve greater independence. Join us as we make a meaningful difference, one day at a time!
Your Impact Collaborative Teamwork:
Partner closely with lead teachers to bring individualized educational plans (IEPs) to life, ensuring each student's unique needs are met.
Direct Support:
Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks and expertly manage behavioral crises, offering unwavering support to students during classroom activities to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Positive Communication:
Harness the power of positive behavior support strategies to develop essential social skills, enhance communication abilities, and promote independence among students.
Supportive Atmosphere:
Cultivate a warm, supportive atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to embrace their journey of learning and growth
Documentation and Reporting:
Thoroughly document student progress and maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring everyone is informed and involved in each student's educational journey. What You Bring High School Diploma or GED. Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 1 year of driving experience. Empathy, patience, compassion, and the ability to support children with diverse communication and behavioral needs. Experience with children or individuals with special needs (preferred but not required). Why Join Us?
Competitive Pay:
$21/hour with a $.50 increase after 6 months!
