In this vital role, you will lead and inspire aspiring nursing assistants by delivering comprehensive instruction in both classroom and clinical settings. Responsibilities Deliver engaging lectures and practical training sessions on patient care, medical terminology, nursing procedures, and care plans tailored for CNA students. Supervise students during clinical rotations in hospitals, nursing homes, and community health settings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Develop, review, and update curriculum content utilizing learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms to enhance educational delivery. Assess student performance through documentation review, skills demonstrations, and written examinations; provide constructive feedback to foster growth. Incorporate adult education principles and innovative learning technology to create an interactive classroom environment that promotes active participation. Collaborate with hospital staff, nursing management, and academic colleagues to align clinical experiences with current healthcare practices and research developments. Maintain accurate records of student progress, clinical hours, and compliance documentation in accordance with accreditation standards. Qualifications Valid LPN or RN license with current registration; 1 year of experience in long-term care facility is required. Demonstrated supervising experience in clinical or classroom settings within higher education or teaching hospitals. Strong knowledge of nursing fundamentals including patient care, care plans, phlebotomy, acute care, ICU experience, pediatrics, senior care, primary care, and hospital experience. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or equivalent; experience with curriculum development is highly desirable. Proven ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds; excellent communication skills in medical terminology and documentation review. Experience in nursing administration or nurse management roles is a plus; background in research or working within a teaching hospital environment is advantageous. Competence in using learning technology tools for adult education; familiarity with classroom experience and working with students in clinical settings is essential.
