Full Job Description Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled 1:1 paraprofessional/inclusion aide to join our team and provide high-quality behavioral therapy services to students at our middle school. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with students to promote positive behavior, social skills, and overall growth in an educational environment. This job description outlines the core duties and responsibilities for the position. It is not meant to be an exhaustive list of all tasks that may be required in this role. The ideal candidate should be flexible and adaptable in meeting the evolving needs of the District.Main Responsibilities
- 1:1 inclusion aide for a student on the autism spectrum provides dedicated daily support to help the student access academic lessons, navigate social situations, and manage behaviors.
- Key duties include academic modification, behavioral intervention, and social facilitation
Academic Support:
Adapt and reinforce lessons provided by the lead teacher, help the student focus, and assist with organization and completing assignmentsBehavior Management:
Implement positive behavior support plans, redirect challenging behaviors, and track daily behavioral dataSocial Integration:
Guide the student through peer interactions, transitions, and unstructured times like lunch or recess- Encourage self-reliance and fade support as the student masters new skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Background check and fingerprinting as required by Massachusetts state regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Completion of any required professional development or certifications as mandated by the District.
