Job Description
- Full-time position with benefits. Work hours are from 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM.
- Provide direct support to students with social/emotional, behavioral and/or developmental
disabilities. Assignment ranges from 4th Grade to 7th Grade at the Whitin Intermediate School. - Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to support their instructional, social, emotional, and
behavioral needs throughout the school day, including during lunch and recess/flex time. - Collect and record
accurate data on student behaviors and progress toward IEP goals. - Assist in creating and maintaining a
positive, inclusive learning environment. - Employ positive behavior supports, accommodations, and modifications as directed by supervisors.
Participate in ongoing training in areas such as behavior management, positive behavioral supports, inclusion
instructional support, and social/emotional skill development.- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and BCBAs to ensure consistent
implementation of student support plans. - Assist with the preparation of materials and activities for student instruction and
engagement. - Support students' development of social skills, communication abilities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and adhere to school policies and procedures.
Job Requirements - High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Prior experience working with children with social/emotional, behavioral and/or developmental
disabilities in an educational setting is desirable. - Citizenship, residency or work visa required
