POSITION SUMMARY
The Paraprofessional will support classroom teachers in implementing instructional and developmental activities within an integrated preschool classroom. This role includes assisting with student learning, supporting personal care needs, and fostering social-emotional development under the direction of the classroom teacher. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, flexible, and committed to supporting young learners in an inclusive environment

Commensurate with the Unit C salary scale
REPORTS TO
Erin Manzi, Principal, Doyle Early Childhood Center
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support toileting needs, including diapering and toilet training Experience working successfully with young children, preferably in a preschool setting Evidence of positive rapport with students, colleagues, and families Strong communication and interpersonal skills
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented Flexible, patient, and sensitive to diverse student needs
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist teachers with classroom instruction and activities Support students in inclusion settings and individual learning needs Implement accommodations outlined in IEPs Assist with feeding, hygiene, toileting, and social-emotional support Observe, chart, and document student progress Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
