CLEAR Paraprofessional

• Elementary
  Tatham Elementary
  Description of work: To work closely with student (s) under the direction of a teacher in an effort to facilitate the progress of the student in meeting the goals stated and to provide other instructional and support assistance as required by the teacher.

Duties:

• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning.
• Inform the teacher of any problems or special information about students.
• Participate in in-service training programs, as assigned.
• Work with students in independent study, skills work, and remedial work assigned by the teacher.
• Other related duties may be assigned
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
• Assist in gathering data on students
• Discrete trial implementation and data collection
• Safety care training which will be provided by WSPS
  

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained, or WorkKeys completed
  
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
  
• Experience working with students with autism
  
• Background in ABA
  
• Such alternatives found to be appropriate
  

Salary:

Commensurate with the West Springfield Paraprofessional (Unit D) contract (

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.67/hour

• $23.

96/hour)
