K-8 Hands-On Electronics & Computer Classes Winchester, MA Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Computer Science High school diploma or GED Problem-solving Classroom experience Teaching Camp Full Job Description Circuit Lab (www.circuit-lab.com) is seeking a creative, hands-on educator as a classroom assistant instructor in our summertime electronics and computer programming classes at class sites including Reading, Lynnfield, Winchester, Medford, and Revere MA. We also have several other available teaching positions at other sites -- view our other jobs for more information about those. This will be a great fit if you enjoy working with kids (from about 6 to 14 years old) and have the ability to confidently discuss concepts in the field of electronics, robotics, computer science, or engineering. In Circuit Lab classes, you will have the opportunity to put your skills to work helping students with a variety of hands-on STEM projects that introduce them to new technical, creative, and problem solving skills. For more experienced educators (with 6 months or more of classroom leadership experience), please also see our advertisements for classroom lead instructors. You will travel to class sites in different towns to run week-long daytime programs (35-40 hours per week, Mon-Fri) throughout the summer for small groups of students. The start date for the position is June 15, 2026. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. We have a paid training period to help you get familiar with the curriculum and teaching style before leading a class. Job requirements:
Available to work from late June to late August. Prior work or volunteer experience in a classroom or summer camp environment. Academic or professional experience in the fields of computer science, engineering, robotics, or related.
Reliable transportation:
able to commute daily to a variety of class sites. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Located in one of the advertised work areas. Must pass state-mandated background check as a condition of employment.
