Kindergarten
Paraprofessional Part-Time Woburn Public Schools is currently seeking a part-time, Kindergarten Paraprofessional to support the lead Kindergarten Teacher and students at Malcolm White Elementary School. This position is for a maximum of 19 hours per week, and does not come with any benefits.
DEFINITION
This Paraprofessional shall be the employee member of the school staff designated by the Superintendent of Schools. The paraprofessional is responsible for assisting the Kindergarten Classroom Teacher with supervision of students in the classroom.
Role & Responsibilities:
Willingness to work on academics, social skills, and activities of daily living, and participate in training to develop such skills.
Supervise/assist students across all internal school environments, and outside on school grounds.
Assist and support professional staff across the Kindergarten curriculum. Assist in the implementation of behavior support plans for students
Provide school-based, classroom, lunch, and arrival and recess supervision
Assume any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal and/or the Teacher.
Demonstrate dependability, initiative, responsibility, and organization skills.
PREREQUISITE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum High school diploma/GED; Associated Degree or higher preferred
Experience working with students with social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills
Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
SALARY:
In accordance with the Woburn Teachers Association and Woburn School Committee Collective Bargaining Agreement
