Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons focused on literacy, math, social skills, and motor development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies. Provide attentive supervision and care for children, including toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help create an inclusive environment by working effectively with children with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism. Engage children in play-based learning activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social interaction. Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining a clean environment. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere. Experience Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning standards is highly desirable. Experience with curriculum development or lesson planning tailored to preschool-aged children enhances your effectiveness. Familiarity with special education practices or working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus. Demonstrated classroom management skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential. Previous private school or Montessori preschool experience will be considered an advantage.
