A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Program Hours Before School:
Monday-Friday, approximately 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM (hours vary by school)
After School:
Monday-Friday, approximately 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (hours vary by school) Starting Pay Starting at $15.50 per hour , with higher starting rates available based on experience, certifications, education, and Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) qualifications. Qualifications All applicants must meet the qualification requirements established by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Office of Child Care for School Age Child Care programs. Dependable attendance is essential. Applicants must have reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival for scheduled shifts.
