Job Description

We are seeking a Program Assistant who will provide basic administrative and operational support for a specific program within a department. The Program Assistant supports the planning and daily operations of the program. This position is based in various locations throughout Howard County, Maryland. Traveling to different locations will be required. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Provide support for outreach activities and internal events; assist with preparation of materials, set-up and breakdown, and participate as needed at events and activities. Assist with data entry, report production, and basic analysis of program results. Assist with development and distribution of program communications. Respond to or elevate questions and provide customer service through email and by phone. Contact service personnel or other resources for program needs. Monitor supply inventory and order supplies. Operate and coordinate the servicing of office equipment. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or graduation equivalent. Six months of related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Good written communication and proofreading skills. Professional customer service manner. Technical Qualifications & Specialized Certifications Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
