Job Description

Overview If you are a high school student or college student that has a love for robots and for STEM in general, come join Fort Washington United. We are expanding into a new education space and building our own robot lab and art space for an exciting summer camp. We are looking for students that need some summer camp experience, and some work hours. Specifically looking for U of Maryland, College of Health Sciences, or Oxon Hill Science and Tech students. Come get some work experience, and join. a team of academicians that are driven to excellence. Letters of recommendation and service hours also available for qualified team mates. Responsibilities Assist lead instructors in delivering hands-on STEM lessons and activities tailored to various age groups Teach the Legos Spike Prime Robot to K-7 students while assisting head instructor. Help supervise children during projects, outdoor activities, and breaks to ensure safety at all times Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful and cooperative classroom behavior Aid in setting up materials and equipment needed for daily activities, ensuring everything is ready before sessions begin Collaborate with team members to adapt lessons for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges Requirements Passion for working with children and a strong interest in STEM education Experience or background in STEM and basic robots, or use of SCRATCH. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly; certification in first aid is preferred High level of math in high school or college preferred Join us in shaping the next generation of innovators!
