A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Essential Functions:
- Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
- Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
- Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.
- Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree's curriculum;
- Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
- Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
- Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.
- Assists in completing all classroom paperwork
- Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child's development and classroom happenings.
- Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.
Requirements Education/Experience:
Experience in child care industry preferred.Benefits
