Job Description

WeeCare Inc./Children's World has been a trusted provider of quality child care in Walkersville, Maryland for over 30 years. We cater to children aged 18 months to 12 years and are proudly licensed by the Maryland Department of Education, Office of Child Care, operating under
COMAR 13A.16.
As a Level 3 Maryland Excels Quality Rated Program, we ensure a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher and/or Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, loving, and enriching environment for children, ensuring their basic needs are met while promoting their growth and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise children and create a safe environment that supports social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Implement lesson plans based on pre-made curriculums and teacher insights, using activities that foster language/literacy, math, science, art, and more.
  • Engage children in child-initiated and teacher-directed activities, catering to different learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
  • Conduct daily observations, developmental checklists, and assessments to inform lesson planning and provide feedback to parents.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing toys and play areas, and ensure all health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Participate in the CACFP (Food Program), serving meals and promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and conferences to enhance professional development and contribute to the team's success.
  • Utilize positive behavior supports and strategies to guide children's interactions and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience in child care settings.
  • Certifications in one or more of the following: 45-hour infant/toddler, 90-hour preschool, or 45-hour school-age certification.
  • Basic Health and Safety Training, CPR, First Aid, and Child Care & COVID-19 training.
  • Experience with van driving is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule and a commitment to maintaining a nurturing and engaging environment.
