Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
Provide administrative, clerical, scheduling, and data support for the Education Department, including support for the Assistant Dean, department leadership, faculty, and education program staff. Maintain and manage assessment and accreditation data, databases, reports, and documentation to support required internal, state, federal, and professional accreditation reporting. Generate and organize data using college systems such as Colleague, Self-Service, Informer, Excel, databases, and survey tools to support reporting, planning, and program operations. Coordinate daily office operations, including responding to inquiries, greeting and assisting students and visitors, maintaining supplies and equipment, managing records, and supporting faculty and adjunct needs. Assist with Education Department budgets, expenditures, check requests, expense reports, contracts, and financial records related to department operations and education programs. Support undergraduate and graduate education programming by preparing materials, maintaining candidate records, entering test scores, coordinating meeting spaces, and assisting with practicums, internships, and student teaching activities. Help plan and coordinate departmental events, student celebrations, award processes, Kappa Delta Pi activities, and other program-related meetings or ceremonies. Communicate professionally and effectively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, PreK-12 school partners, mentor teachers, supervisors, prospective candidates, and external agencies.
Requirements:
High school diploma required; Bachelor's preferred. Two or more years of office management experience required. Strong organizational skills. Experience in managing and retrieving data from multiple sources Ability to work on projects independently Familiarity with Colleague, Self-Service, Informer preferred Professional knowledge and ability to operate computer, including word processing, database, spreadsheet, web-based survey programs, and photo programs at intermediate level or above. Ability to handle phone calls in a friendly and professional manner. Must exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills that include interaction with faculty, students, prospective students, staff, administration, PreK-12 school faculty/administrators, and outside agencies.
