Job Summary:
Provide supervision to students in special education at the elementary level. Efficiently and effectively assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning program in a special education setting while working under the supervision of a special education teacher. Perform support work assisting students in meeting educational, communication, emotional, physical and behavioral goals of speical needs students. Work individually or in small groups. Support students with Personal Care needs Collaborate with other teaching staff and paraprofessionals for the benefit of all students. Help students develop life skills.
Qualifications:
This is a 7 hour (6.5 hours paid) per day position for September 1, 2026
  • October 20, 2026 Paraprofessionals must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, which entails lifting, bending, and twisting in various settings.
Be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to handle situations with a calm demeanor. Must possess high level of compassion for students with developmental disabilities. Flexibility and a cooperative nature are required.
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) plus a minimum of 60 semester credits from an institute of higher education, hold and Associate's or Bachelor degree, or obtain a passing score on the Paraeducator assessment. Individual must have the ability to provide services to students in reading and/or math. Previous relevant experience preferred.
