Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students by supporting their growth and learning in a school-based environment. We're seeking four dedicated Educational Technicians (II or III) to serve in a contract position for the upcoming school year, working with K-5 students utilizing a life skills-focused curriculum. This role spans from August 2026 to June 2027 at 32 hours per week, providing ample time to develop meaningful connections and contribute to student achievement.
Qualifications:
Valid Maine Educational Technician II or III certification (required) Prior experience supporting students in educational settings, especially elementary (K-5) Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to the needs of a life skills-based curriculum Patience, flexibility, and passion for working with children
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in implementing individualized learning plans for students with diverse needs Support students in life skills activities and academics within the classroom and school environment Collaborate closely with classroom educators and special education staff to promote an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere Foster student participation, independence, and skill-building in both academic and functional areas Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate observations to instructional teams This contract opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and engaging school setting.
