Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support classroom teachers by providing engaging instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the well-being of all students. As a floater, you will also have the opportunity to work across multiple classrooms, gaining diverse experience and contributing to the overall success of our early childhood education program. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' development while honing your teaching skills in a collaborative setting. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and childhood development. Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Supervise children during activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety and positive engagement. Provide direct care to children including feeding, diapering, toileting, handwashing, etc. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom events to foster strong home-school connections. Support classroom cleanliness by completing classroom closing/cleaning tasks daily and general picking up. Maintain compliance with educational regulations such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and ensure adherence to licensing standards. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including classroom experience is a preffered (but not required) Punctuality (arriving to work on time) and a willingness and desire to work your scheduled shifts with a positive attiude Ability to supervise children responsibly while demonstrating patience and empathy. Basic understanding of classroom behavior management and educational compliance standards. Willing to undergo a background check as required by licensing. First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
