Per Diem, School-Based Support Location:
Allen Park, MI Flexible, per diem positions are available for compassionate Instructional Aides to provide one-on-one and small-group support to students in school settings. These roles offer the chance to make a meaningful impact by assisting students academically, behaviorally, and socially while working under the direction of teachers and school staff.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting students with academic tasks and classroom participation Providing 1:1 or small-group assistance tailored to student needs Helping students with daily routines, transitions, and mobility Implementing behavior support plans and following IEP directions when applicable Offering supervision and assistance with personal care needs Maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Minimum age of 18 Ability to complete a TB test and maintain current clearances Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus but not required Reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach to work Why This Role?
