Position SummaryThe Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. This role assists with daily classroom activities, supervision, and care of children. Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities Supervise children during play, meals, and transitions Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs Assist with behavior management using positive reinforcement techniques Prepare materials and learning resources for daily activities Communicate effectively with Lead Teacher and staff Follow all daycare policies and state licensing requirements Core Competencies Teamwork and collaboration Patience and adaptability Basic classroom support skills Child supervision and engagement
