As soon as possible Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and caring paraprofessional to support our Junior Kindergarten classroom. In this role, you will work alongside the lead teacher to deliver engaging learning experiences, provide individualized student support, and serve as a vital link between the school and our families.
Key Responsibilities Instructional Support:
Assist the lead teacher by guiding students individually and in small groups during academic and classroom activities.
Student Care & Classroom Culture:
Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment tailored to early childhood development.
Family Liaison:
Maintain open, positive communication between the school and families, promoting strong home-school partnerships.
Assessment & Planning:
Observe student progress and assist in planning and delivering targeted instructional activities.
Professional Engagement:
Attend parent-staff meetings during regular work hours and actively participate in professional learning opportunities.
General Duties:
Perform other related duties as assigned to support classroom operations.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Prior experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting strongly preferred.
Communication & Community:
Proven ability to build positive relationships with parents, staff, and external community partners.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds to safely support young children and classroom equipment.
