Aug 24, 2026 Job Description Cedar Springs Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Special Education Assistant assigned to our Ealry Childhood Special Education classroom. This is a paraprofessional position which provides support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior; providing information to appropriate school personnel. This is a full-time, school year position (Approximately 33 hours per week) which comes with single subscriber health benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate Current CPR Certification or willing to obtain CPR certificate CPI training Evidence of skills with behavior management Demonstrates dependability and promptness Understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward elementary students Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students Ability to maintain cooperative working relationship with students, staff, parents and the general public with the understanding that confidentiality should be exhibited
