Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Preschool Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in early childhood education while making a meaningful impact on young learners' lives. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills activities Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and developmental milestones Help with classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and outdoor play to ensure smooth transitions throughout the day Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed Communicate effectively with children to foster language development and social interaction Contribute to curriculum development by assisting in lesson planning that incorporates Montessori methods or other educational philosophies Requirements Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare, private school, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with autism or other disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, parents, and children Ability to assist in lesson planning focused on literacy education, math concepts, and curriculum development Experience with classroom management tools and techniques to create a positive learning environment Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is preferred but not mandatory Join us in shaping the future by inspiring young minds!
