Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Montessori Assistant Teacher, to join our educational team within the Infant Classroom. The ideal candidate will support the Lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for students. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning atmosphere where children can thrive academically and socially. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children ages birth thru 18 months old in assisting them with their daily activities. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing classroom ground rules and routine. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment. Engage with students during lessons, providing guidance and encouragement. Help with the preparation of instructional materials and resources. Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed. Assist with daily routines, including snack time, outdoor play, and transitions between activities. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Qualifications Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment. Familiarity with early childhood education principles, particularly in Infant, Toddler, and Primary care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for working with children and fostering their development in a daycare or private school setting. Must be patient, compassionate, and able to adapt to the needs of individual students. $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
