Job Description

JOB TITLE
Associate Teacher - GSRP
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet one of the following requirements: (a) Bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood education or child development. (b) Bachelor's degree or higher in a child-related field with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child development and 480 hours of experience. (c) Montessori credential with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child development and 480 hours of experience. (d) Associate's degree in early childhood education or child development with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child development and 480 hours of experience. (e) Valid child development associate credential with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child development and 960 hours of experience. (f) 60 semester hours with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child development and 1920 hours of experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CPR and First Aid Certification Essential Responsibilities (May include, but not limited to): Assists the lead teacher with daily routines and activities. Interacts with children, encouraging problem solving, exploration, experimentation and questioning. Assists the lead teacher in preparation of the learning environment, sets up centers and prepares needed materials and supplies. Assists the lead teacher in classroom management and other non-instructional functions. Supervises the classroom when the lead teacher is out of the room. May serve as a substitute for a lead teacher as requested. Handles attendance reports, assessments, anecdotal notes and reporting. Operates standard school equipment. Helps lead teacher with general housekeeping tasks, provides a safe, appropriate learning environment. Assists children with health and physical needs, personal care routines including diapering, toiletry and feeding. Maintains confidentiality of families and workplace. Attends staff and center team meetings. Participates in home visits and parent teacher conferences with the lead teacher. Observes children's behavior and takes positive action to assure safety and well-being; is responsible for active supervision of children at all times.
Wage:
Hourly pay based on years of experience: $18.00 - 21.00/hr Interested applicants must apply online at www.clioschools.org.
