06/12/2026 The Branch Area Careers Center (BACC) is located in Coldwater, Michigan, and provides career and technical education opportunities to over 500 students per year. The BACC works closely with community and business partners to provide career and college readiness opportunities for secondary students and to provide a workforce for continued economic growth in Branch County. The Welding Para Professional is a full time position, Monday though Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. during the school year.
Requirements:
Qualification requirements which the Para Professional must possess: Education and/or certification: high school graduate secondary or post-secondary training in Welding or 2 years of appropriate industry experience Experience exhibit the ability to communicate (with students, families, school staff, employers and the community) in a positive effective manner one year experience with educational systems preferred working knowledge of computers
Duties:
Assist Program Manager with overall operation and enforce safety in programs. Supervise students as assigned. Monitor and maintain data collection system for assessment of student needs and progress. Assist or direct housekeeping assignments for students. Assist Program Manager with student discipline. Organize, monitor, and evaluate academic, vocational, and emotional needs of students in programs. Work individually or in small groups with students to improve both academic and technical skills. Assist Program Manager with grading of tests, workbooks, projects, etc. Assist in career education activities. Assist Program Manager and Counselors with established administrative policies and procedures dealing with appropriate behavior needed to be successful in school and world of work.
