Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a GSRP Assistant Teacher, where you'll play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and engaging early childhood education environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support classroom activities, assist with curriculum implementation, and collaborate closely with lead teachers to promote the developmental growth of young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills essential for future success. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development Support classroom management by helping maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment for children of diverse abilities Engage with children through interactive activities that promote language development, fine and gross motor skills, and behavioral positive reinforcement Help facilitate individualized support for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress, document observations, and communicate developmental milestones effectively Support classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions to ensure smooth daily operations Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's activities and progress in a professional manner Requirements Prior experience working with young children in childcare, daycare, preschool, or educational support roles is highly preferred Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including behavior management techniques and curriculum development strategies Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members Technical proficiency in educational tools or classroom management software is advantageous Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods while engaging children in various activities Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is desirable but not mandatory This paid assistant teacher position offers a rewarding environment where your dedication directly impacts children's growth and learning.
