Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Bring your dedication and enthusiasm to support students as a Paraprofessional in a rewarding contract position near Detroit, MI! Qualifications & Experience:
Experience as a Paraprofessional in a school or similar educational environment Understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and willingness to support diverse learning needs Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or paraprofessional certification preferred Adaptability and professionalism in dynamic school settings
Responsibilities:
Provide classroom assistance to certified teachers and special education staff Support students one-on-one or in small groups to promote academic and social growth Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and individualized strategies Facilitate student participation and engagement in classroom activities Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students Track and document student progress as directed by teachers or instructional leaders Follow school policies, confidentiality rules, and health/safety standards
