Simpson Middle School Qualifications:
High School Diploma. Must be Highly Qualified (60 college credit hours, or successful completion of the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment) Experience working with children. Demonstrate abilities in the area of interpersonal communication. A high degree of patience, ability and willingness to learn new skills and take direction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist students with reading, math skills and language skills. Follow classroom teacher's directions. Communicate, collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, supervisors and students. Assists instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises. Assists in administering pre and post testing. Monitors student classroom academic testing results and correlates that information to the planning for the students. Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adopt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil to the extent possible. Gather and prepare materials when necessary. All other duties as assigned.
Work Year:
5 days/week beginning in October, Student Days Only 2026-2027
School Year Compensation:
$16.55 per hour
